Laura Pawson
Laura Pawson was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and currently lives and works in Chicago, Illinois. She attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago where she received her Bachelors of Fine Arts with an emphasis in photography and fibers and material studies. She also studied printmaking and painting at the Universidad Complutense in Madrid, Spain. Her artwork addresses issues of race and class in our society as well as concepts dealing with personal accounts of inter-racial couples, mixed individuals, race identity and ownership, degrees of color, and sexuality within race. She collaborates with individuals in communities to address these questions and to prompt a larger personal and societal conversation. She currently teaches with Redmoon Theater and Chicago Commons and has been working with the youth through art to reach the community.

Alejandro Lopez Alejandro Lopez was born and raised in Zamora, Michoacan, Mexico and currently lives and works in Chicago, Illinois. He is an artist and musician. He screen-prints, stencils, and air brushes and is a member of a band called the “Jah Cantors.” He plays the drums and keyboard and is planning on going on tour throughout the country. He is also a freelance teaching artist and has worked with various communities in Chicago. Ben Gonzales
